"There is Gold in the Wetlands" is a true story that occurred and continues to occur at the Heard Natural History Museum and Sanctuary, McKinney, TX.  It is a story that could happen anywhere in eastern United States if people would save or create the habitat needed for these beautiful golden birds who build their nests and raise their young in hollow trees or nest boxes.
